তারা তাদের শপথসমূহকে ঢালরূপে ব্যবহার করে। অতঃপর তারা আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করে। তারা যা করছে, তা খুবই মন্দ।
They have made their oaths a screen (for their hypocrisy). Thus they hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh. Verily, evil is what they used to do.
اتَّخَذُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ سَاء مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
YUSUFALI: They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds.
PICKTHAL: They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily evil is that which they are wont to do,
SHAKIR: They make their oaths a shelter, and thus turn away from Allah’s way; surely evil is that which they do.
KHALIFA: Under the guise of their apparent faith, they repel the people from the path of GOD. Miserable indeed is what they do.
২। তারা তাদের শপথগুলিকে ৫৪৬৭, [ তাদের মন্দ কাজের ] পর্দারূপে ব্যবহার করে। এভাবেই তারা [ মানুষকে ] আল্লাহ্র পথে নিবৃত্ত করে। সত্যিই তাদের কাজগুলি মন্দ।
৫৪৬৭। এ সব মোনাফেকরা প্রকাশ্যে হযরতকে আল্লাহ্র রাসুল (সা) রূপে স্বীকার করে। এই স্বীকারোক্তি এই জন্য যে কেউ যেনো তাদের মনের দুরভিসন্ধি বুঝতে না পারে। এই স্বীকারোক্তি তাদের অন্তরের অভিব্যক্তির ঢাল স্বরূপ। কেউ যেনো তা বুঝতে না পারে। এই স্বীকারোক্তি মিথ্যা বই আর কিছু নয়।
মন্তব্য : মোনাফেকদের এই বৈশিষ্ট্য সর্বকালের ও সর্বযুগের জন্য প্রযোজ্য।
