অতঃপর আমি তাদের পশ্চাতে প্রেরণ করেছি আমার রসূলগণকে এবং তাদের অনুগামী করেছি মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসাকে ও তাকে দিয়েছি ইঞ্জিল। আমি তার অনুসারীদের অন্তরে স্থাপন করেছি নম্রতা ও দয়া। আর বৈরাগ্য, সে তো তারা নিজেরাই উদ্ভাবন করেছে; আমি এটা তাদের উপর ফরজ করিনি; কিন্তু তারা আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের জন্যে এটা অবলম্বন করেছে। অতঃপর তারা যথাযথভাবে তা পালন করেনি। তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাসী ছিল, আমি তাদেরকে তাদের প্রাপ্য পুরস্কার দিয়েছি। আর তাদের অধিকাংশই পাপাচারী।
Then, We sent after them, Our Messengers, and We sent ’Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him, compassion and mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but that they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاء رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihim birusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryama waataynahu al-injeela wajaAAalna fee quloobi allatheena ittabaAAoohu ra/fatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatan ibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhim illa ibtighaa ridwani Allahi fama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatiha faatayna allatheena amanoo minhum ajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona
YUSUFALI: Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.
PICKTHAL: Then We caused Our messengers to follow in their footsteps; and We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow, and gave him the Gospel, and placed compassion and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. But monasticism they invented – We ordained it not for them – only seeking Allah’s pleasure, and they observed it not with right observance. So We give those of them who believe their reward, but many of them are evil-livers.
SHAKIR: Then We made Our messengers to follow in their footsteps, and We sent Isa son of Marium afterwards, and We gave him the Injeel, and We put in the hearts of those who followed him kindness and mercy; and (as for) monkery, they innovated it– We did not prescribe it to them– only to seek Allah’s pleasure, but they did not observe it with its due observance; so We gave to those of them who believed their reward, and most of them are transgressors.
KHALIFA: Subsequent to them, we sent our messengers. We sent Jesus the son of Mary, and we gave him the Injeel (Gospel), and we placed in the hearts of his followers kindness and mercy. But they invented hermitism which we never decreed for them. All we asked them to do was to uphold the commandments approved by GOD. But they did not uphold the message as they should have. Consequently, we gave those who believed among them their recompense, while many of them were wicked.
২৭। অতঃপর আমি তাদের পশ্চাতে অনুগামী করেছিলাম আমার রাসুলগণকে এবং তাদের অনুগামী করে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম মরিয়মের পুত্র ঈসাকে এবং তাঁকে দান করেছিলাম ইঞ্জিল। এবং তাঁর অনুসারীদের হৃদয়ে দিয়েছিলাম সহানুভূতি ও দয়া ৫৩২০। কিন্তু তারা তাদের জন্য যে সন্ন্যাসবাদের উদ্ভাবন করেছিলো আমি তা নির্দ্দেশ দিই নাই ৫৩২১। [ আমি শুধু আদেশ দিয়েছিলাম ] আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টি অন্বেষণ করা। অথচ ইহাও তারা যথাযথভাবে পালন করে নাই ৫৩২২। তথাপি তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাসী তাদের আমি তাদের [ প্রাপ্য ] পুরষ্কার দান করেছিলাম। কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই বিদ্রোহী ও সীমালংঘনকারী ;-
৫৩২০। হযরত ঈসার অনুসারীদের উপরে আদেশ ছিলো দয়া ও করুণার। আদেশ ছিলো ” তারা [ শত্রুরা ] যদি ডান গালে চড় মারে, তবে বাম গাল পেতে দাও।” [ Matt 5 : 39 ] এরূপ দর্শন হচ্ছে সন্ন্যাসবাদের অপরিপূর্ণ দর্শন। তারা এর দ্বারা দয়া, ক্ষমা, প্রদর্শন করেন। নিজ কষ্ট ভোগের মাধ্যমে সহানুভূতি আকর্ষন করা। হযরত ঈসার ধর্মাদর্শনকে এ ভাবেই প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।
৫৩২১। সন্ন্যাসবাদ যা পৃথিবীর যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে নিজেকে দূরে নিক্ষিপ্ত করে তার দ্বারা সংসারে ভালোকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করা সম্ভব নয়। আল্লাহ্র রাজত্বে ন্যায় ও সত্য প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য প্রয়োজন সাহস, অন্যায়কে প্রতিরোধ করা, মন্দকে অবদমিত করা এবং এর জন্য প্রয়োজন দৃঢ়তা প্রদর্শন, ও আইনের প্রয়োগের মাধ্যমে শৃঙ্খলা এবং ন্যায় ও সত্যকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে সাহায্য করা। এর জন্য সত্যের সংগ্রামীদের সমাজে বসবাস করতে হবে। মানুষের সাথে মানুষের মিশ্রণের ফলে সত্যের সংগ্রামীরা সত্যের ঝান্ডা উত্তোলন করে মানুষকে তার তলে আহ্বান করতে পারেন যে সুযোগ সন্ন্যাসবাদে নাই। আর এ আয়াতে আল্লাহ্ পরিষ্কার ভাবে ঘোষণা করেছেন যে, সন্ন্যাসবাদ তিনি মানুষের জন্য মনোনীত করেন নাই। মানুষকে দ্বীন অর্জন করতে হবে ‘দুনিয়ার’ মাধ্যমে। দুনিয়া ব্যতীত দ্বীন আল্লাহ্র নিকট মূল্যহীন।
৫৩২২। আল্লাহ্ অবশ্যই দাবী করেন যে, মানুষ শুধুমাত্র পার্থিব জীবনের আনন্দ ফুর্তিতে জীবনের সবটা সময় ব্যয় করবে না। অবশ্যই সে অর্থহীন আমোদ প্রমোদ ত্যাগ করে আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির জন্য কাজ করবে। এ কথার অর্থ এই নয় যে, সেও শোকাহত দিন যাপন করবে। অথবা সমাজ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে শুধু নিরানন্দ অবিরত প্রার্থনার মাধ্যমে তাঁর সকল সময় অতিবাহিত করবে। আল্লাহ্র রাস্তায় কাজ করতে বলা হয়েছে সমাজে অবস্থান করে, সমাজের অন্যায় অবিচারের বিরুদ্ধে সংগ্রামের মাধ্যমে ন্যায়কে প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে। পরিচ্ছন্ন জীবন যাপন ও অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে সংগ্রামের মাধ্যমেই আল্লাহ্র সত্যকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা যায়। প্রকৃত পক্ষে এই সত্যকে অস্বীকার করা হয়েছে সন্ন্যাসবাদে। সমাজের বৃহত্তর ও মহত্তর কল্যাণের জন্য সংগ্রামকে সন্ন্যাসবাদ দ্বারা নিরুৎসাহিত করা হয়েছে। রাসুলের (সা) জীবনে প্রতিটি যুদ্ধ সংঘটিত হয়েছে সত্য ও ন্যায়কে প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য
