অথচ এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই। তারা কেবল অনুমানের উপর চলে। অথচ সত্যের ব্যাপারে অনুমান মোটেই ফলপ্রসূ নয়।
While they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth.
وَمَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا
Wama lahum bihi min AAilmin in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shay-an
YUSUFALI: But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture; and conjecture avails nothing against Truth.
PICKTHAL: And they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and lo! a guess can never take the place of the truth.
SHAKIR: And they have no knowledge of it; they do not follow anything but conjecture, and surely conjecture does not avail against the truth at all.
KHALIFA: They had no knowledge about this; they only conjectured. Conjecture is no substitute for the truth.
২৮। কিন্তু সে সম্বন্ধে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নাই। অনুমান ব্যতীত তারা অন্য কিছুর অনুসরণ করে না ; আর সত্যের বিরুদ্ধে অনুমান কোন কাজেই আসবে না ৫১০৩।
৫১০৩। দেখুন [ ৫৩ : ২৩ ] আয়াত ও টিকা ৫০৯৮। ” সত্যের বিরুদ্ধে অনুমান কোন কাজেই আসবে না।” এই অবিস্মরণীয় উপদেশ যুগ কাল অতিক্রান্ত। শুধু ধর্মীয় ব্যাপারে নয় কোরাণে এই উপদেশ দান করা হয়েছে জীবনের সর্বক্ষেত্রের জন্য। সত্যকে তার প্রকৃতরূপে উদ্ঘাটিত করতে হবে। সত্যকে উদ্ঘাটিত করার অপর নামই হচ্ছে “বিজ্ঞান ” যা আল্লাহ্র সৃষ্টি তত্বের প্রকৃত সত্যকে উদ্ঘাটিত করে থাকে। মানুষের সামাজিক জীবনে যেমন : বিচার বিভাগ, প্রশাসন, চিকিৎসা, শিক্ষা ইত্যাদি জীবনের সর্বক্ষেত্রে প্রকৃত সত্যকে উদ্ঘাটিত করতে বলা হয়েছে। বলা হয়েছে ” সত্যের মুকাবিলাতে অনুমানের কোনও মূল্য নাই।”
