আরও নিদর্শন রয়েছে সামূদের ঘটনায়; যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল, কিছুকাল মজা লুটে নাও।
And in Thamûd (there is also a sign), when they were told: ”Enjoy yourselves for a while!”
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّى حِينٍ
Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heenin
YUSUFALI: And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, “Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!”
PICKTHAL: And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile.
SHAKIR: And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while.
KHALIFA: In Thamoud (there is a lesson). They were told, “Enjoy temporarily.”
৪৩। সামুদ সম্প্রদায় [ হচ্ছে আর এক নিদর্শন ] ৫০১৯ ! দেখো, তাদের বলা হয়েছিলো, “স্বল্পকালের জন্য তোমরা উপভোগ করে নাও।” ৫০২০
৫০১৯। দেখুন সালেহ্ নবী ও সামুদের কাহিনীর জন্য [ ৭ : ৭৩ – ৭৯ ] আয়াত। এই আয়াত গুলিতে গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা হয়েছে সামুদ জাতির উপরে নিপতিত শাস্তির ক্ষীপ্রতা এবং অস্বাভাবিকতা যা ছিলো তাদের কল্পনারও বাইরে।
৫০২০। সালেহ্ নবী তাদের অনুতাপের জন্য তিনদিন সময় দান করেছিলেন [ ১১ : ৬৫ ] কিন্তু তাঁর সম্প্রদায় তাঁর কথায় কর্ণপাত করলো না। উপরন্তু সালেহ্ নবীকে বিদ্রূপ ও উপহাস দ্বারা বিপর্যস্ত করলো এবং তাদের পাপ কাজ চালিয়ে যেতেই থাকলো।
