পক্ষান্তরে যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার সামনে দন্ডায়মান হওয়াকে ভয় করেছে এবং খেয়াল-খুশী থেকে নিজেকে নিবৃত্ত রেখেছে,
But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts.
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَى
Waama man khafa maqama rabbihi wanaha alnnafsa AAani alhawa
YUSUFALI: And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord’s (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires,
PICKTHAL: But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust,
SHAKIR: And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires,
KHALIFA: As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.
৪০। এবং যারা স্বীয় প্রভুর সম্মুখে [বিচারের ] ভয় করে ৫৯৪৫ ; এবং রীপুর আকাঙ্খা থেকে তাদের আত্মাকে সংযত রাখে,
৪১। তাদের আবাস হবে বেহেশত
৫৯৪৫। এখানে সমান্তরাল ভাবে দুই শ্রেণীর লোকের তুলনা করা হয়েছে। এক শ্রেণীর লোক আছে যারা ইচ্ছাকৃত ভাবে আল্লাহ্র আইন অমান্য করে এদের বৈশিষ্ট্য হবে,তারা পার্থিব জীবনকে এবং এর ভোগ বিলাসকে অতিরিক্তি ভালোবাসে। এদের জন্যই পরলোকে রয়েছে মহাশাস্তি। অপরপক্ষে অন্য শ্রেণীর লোকেরা পরলোকে প্রতিপালকের বিচারের ভয় করে এবং বিনয়াবনত ভাবে আল্লাহ্র ক্ষমাপ্রার্থী হয় এবং নিজেকে মন্দ কাজ থেকে দূরে রাখে এবং প্রবৃত্তি বা রীপুসমূহকে সংযত করে। এদের জন্য পরলোকে আছে বেহেশতের বাগান। দেখুন উপরের টিকা।
