স কালেনেহ মহতা য়োগো নষ্টঃ পরন্তপ ॥ ৪-২॥

পরম্পরা = by disciplic succession
প্রাপ্তং = received
ইমং = this science
রাজর্ষয়ঃ = the saintly kings
বিদুঃ = understood
সঃ = that knowledge
কালেন = in the course of time
ইহ = in this world
মহতা = great
য়োগঃ = the science of one’s relationship with the Supreme
নষ্টঃ = scattered
পরন্তপ = O Arjuna, subduer of the enemies.
