পুরুষঃ প্রকৃতিস্থো হি ভুঙ্ক্তে প্রকৃতিজান্গুণান্ ।
কারণং গুণসঙ্গোঽস্য সদসদ্যোনিজন্মসু ॥ ১৩-২১॥
পুরুষঃ = the living entity
প্রকৃতিস্থঃ = being situated in the material energy
হি = certainly
ভুঙ্ক্তে = enjoys
প্রকৃতিজান্ = produced by the material nature
গুণান্ = the modes of nature
করণং = the cause
গুণসঙ্গঃ = the association with the modes of nature
অস্য = of the living entity
সদসত্ = in good and bad
য়োনি = species of life
জন্মসু = in births.
