ইদং শরীরং কৌন্তেয় ক্ষেত্রমিত্যভিধীয়তে ।
এতদ্যো বেত্তি তং প্রাহুঃ ক্ষেত্রজ্ঞ ইতি তদ্বিদঃ ॥ ১৩-১॥

কৌন্তেয় = O son of Kunti

অভিধীয়তে = is called
এতত্ = this
য়ঃ = one who
বেত্তি = knows

প্রাহুঃ = is called
ক্ষেত্রজ্ঞঃ = the knower of the field
ইতি = thus
তত্বিদঃ = by those who know this.
