শ্রীভগবানুবাচ ।
ত্রিবিধা ভবতি শ্রদ্ধা দেহিনাং সা স্বভাবজা ।
সাত্ত্বিকী রাজসী চৈব তামসী চেতি তাং শৃণু ॥ ১৭-২॥
শ্রীভগবানুবাচ = the Supreme Personality of Godhead said
ত্রিবিধা = of three kinds
ভবতি = becomes
শ্রদ্ধা = the faith
দেহিনাং = of the embodied
সা = that
স্বভাবজা = according to his mode of material nature
সাত্ত্বিকী = in the mode of goodness
রাজসী = in the mode of passion
চ = also
এব = certainly
তামসী = in the mode of ignorance
চ = and
ইতি = thus
তাং = that
শৃণু = hear from Me.
