তারা আপনাকে আযাব ত্বরান্বিত করতে বলে; অথচ জাহান্নাম কাফেরদেরকে ঘেরাও করছে।
They ask you to hasten on the torment. And verily! Hell, of a surety, will encompass the disbelievers.
يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ
YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi wa-inna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena
YUSUFALI: They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment: but, of a surety, Hell will encompass the Rejecters of Faith!-
PICKTHAL: They bid thee hasten on the doom, when lo! hell verily will encompass the disbelievers
SHAKIR: They ask you to hasten on the chastisement, and most surely hell encompasses the unbelievers;
KHALIFA: They challenge you to bring retribution! Hell already surrounds the disbelievers.
৫৪। তারা তোমাকে শাস্তিকে ত্বরান্বিত করতে বলে ৩৪৮৬। কিন্তু এটা নিশ্চিত যে জাহান্নাম তো কাফেরদের পরিবেষ্টন করবেই।
৩৪৮৬। পাপী ও মন্দদের আল্লাহ্র প্রতি নির্ভিক ও দুঃসাহসিক প্রতিদ্বন্দীতার উত্তর দেয়া হয়েছে পূর্বের আয়াতে। সেখানে শাস্তির ঊল্লেখের সাথে বলা হয়েছে করুণাময় আল্লাহ্র পাপীদের অনুতাপের সুযোগ ও সময় দানের কথা। এই আয়াতে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে যে পাপীরা যদি অবকাশের সদ্ব্যবহার না করে, যদি অনুতাপের মাধ্যমে নিজেকে সংশোধন না করে, তবে তাদের জন্য শাস্তি অবশ্যম্ভাবী এবং সে শাস্তি তাদের চতুর্দ্দিক থেকে ঘিরে ধরবে।
