আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সমস্ত লোককে এক দলে পরিণত করতে পারেন। কিন্তু তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা স্বীয় রহমতে দাখিল করেন। আর যালেমদের কোন অভিভাবক ও সাহায্যকারী নেই।
And if Allâh had willed, He could have made them one nation, but He admits whom He wills to His Mercy. And the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) will have neither a Walî (protector) nor a helper.
وَلَوْ شَاء اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَكِن يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَاء فِي رَحْمَتِهِ وَالظَّالِمُونَ مَا لَهُم مِّن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
Walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalahum ommatan wahidatan walakin yudkhilu man yashao fee rahmatihi waalththalimoona ma lahum min waliyyin wala naseerin
YUSUFALI: If Allah had so willed, He could have made them a single people; but He admits whom He will to His Mercy; and the Wrong-doers will have no protector nor helper.
PICKTHAL: Had Allah willed, He could have made them one community, but Allah bringeth whom He will into His mercy. And the wrong-doers have no friend nor helper.
SHAKIR: And if Allah had pleased He would surely have made them a single community, but He makes whom He pleases enter into His mercy, and the unjust it is that shall have no guardian or helper.
KHALIFA: Had GOD willed, He could have made them one community. But He redeems into His mercy whomever He wills. As for the transgressors, they have no master, nor a helper.
০৮। যদি আল্লাহ্ ইচ্ছা করতেন তবে তিনি তাদের একটি মাত্র সম্প্রদায়ে পরিণত করতে পারতেন ৪৫৩৬। কিন্তু তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা করেন, আপন অনুগ্রহের মাঝে প্রবেশ করান, এবং পাপীদের কোন অভিভাবক নাই, কোন সাহায্যকারীও নাই।
৪৫৩৬। অনুরূপ আয়াত দেখুন [ ৫: ৪৮ ] ও টিকা ৭৬১। শারীরিক ও মানসিক বৈশিষ্ট্যে আল্লাহ্ মানুষ জাতিকে বিভিন্নতা দান করেছেন। পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহর নেয়ামত কেউ বেশী লাভ করে কেউ কম। মানুষের শারীরিক বৈশিষ্ট্য, চারিত্রিক গুণাবলী ,বুদ্ধিমত্তা ইত্যাদি প্রতিটি মানুষের জন্যস্ব স্ব বৈশিষ্ট্য মন্ডিত করা হয়েছে যেনো তা সঠিক ব্যবহারের ফলে সে [ ঈমানের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হতে পারে ]। পৃথিবীতে শয়তানের ফাঁদে মানুষ তখনই ধরা দেয় যখন সে এসব অপব্যবহার করে। মানুষকে সাবধান করা হয়েছে সে যেনো বিবাদ প্রিয় হয়ে শয়তানের ফাঁদে পা না দেয় – তাহলে সে আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ ও কৃপা লাভে বঞ্চিত হবে।
