সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে, অতঃপর তাদের অধিকাংশই মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছে, তারা শুনে না।
Giving glad tidings [of Paradise to the one who believes in the Oneness of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) and fears Allâh much (abstains from all kinds of sins and evil deeds) and loves Allâh much (performing all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], and warning (of punishment in the Hell Fire to the one who disbelieves in the Oneness of Allâh), but most of them turn away, so they listen not.
بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
Basheeran wanatheeran faaAArada aktharuhum fahum la yasmaAAoona
YUSUFALI: Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not.
PICKTHAL: Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not.
SHAKIR: A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not.
KHALIFA: A bearer of good news, as well as a warner. However, most of them turn away; they do not hear.
০৩। একটি কিতাব , যার আয়াত সমূহ বিশদভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করা হয়েছে ; – [ ইহা ] আরবী ভাষার কুর-আন যারা বুঝতে পারে তাদের জন্য ; –
০৪। সুসংবাদদাতা এবং সর্তককারী স্বরূপ, তথাপি অধিকাংশ লোক মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সুতারাং তারা [ কিছুই] শোনে না ৪৪৬৪।
৪৪৬৪। যদি কেউ আন্তরিক ভাবে কোরাণের বাণী অনুধাবন করার ইচ্ছা রাখে তবে কোরাণ পাঠ তার আধ্যাত্মিক জগতের প্রভূত উপকার সাধিত করবে। কিন্তু কেউ যদি ইচ্ছা পোষণ না করে তবে কোরাণ পাঠের দ্বারা সে কোন আত্মিক উপকার লাভ করবে না। কোরাণ পাঠের দ্বারা আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ লাভ না করার কারণ তাদের ইচ্ছার অভাব। ফলে তারা আত্মার মাঝে আল্লাহ্র হেদায়েত অনুভবে অক্ষম হয়।
