যখন খাঁটিভাবে আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়, তখন যারা পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে না, তাদের অন্তর সংকুচিত হয়ে যায়, আর যখন আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য উপাস্যদের নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়, তখন তারা আনন্দে উল্লসিত হয়ে উঠে।
When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy!
وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
Wa-itha thukira Allahu wahdahu ishmaazzat quloobu allatheena la yu/minoona bial-akhirati wa-itha thukira allatheena min doonihi itha hum yastabshiroona
YUSUFALI: When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy!
PICKTHAL: And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are repelled, and when those (whom they worship) beside Him are mentioned, behold! they are glad.
SHAKIR: And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink, and when those besides Him are mentioned, lo! they are joyful.
KHALIFA: When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.
৪৫। যারা পরলোকে বিশ্বাস করে না, যখন তাদের নিকট আল্লাহ্র একত্বের কথা উল্লেখ করা হয়, তাদের অন্তর তীব্র ঘৃণা ও বিষম ভয়ে পূর্ণ হয়ে যায় ৪৩১৩। কিন্তু যখন আল্লাহ্র পরিবর্তে অন্য উপাস্যগুলির উল্লেখ করা হয়, দেখো, তারা আনন্দে উল্লাসিত হয়।
৪৩১৩। আল্লাহ্র সেবা বা আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির জন্য কাজ করার অর্থ হচ্ছে পৃথিবীতে ভালো কাজে বা সৎকাজে নিজেকে নিয়োজিত করা। যারা মন্দ বা পাপী তাদের নিকট সৎকাজ সব সময়েই ঘৃণার বিষয়বস্তু। সৎকাজের নামে তাদের অন্তরে বিতৃষ্ণার উদ্রেক হবে। তারা তখনই উল্লসিত হবে, যখন তাদের আরধ্য কাজগুলির জন্য আহ্বান করা হবে। এই আরধ্য কাজগুলিই তাদের দেবতা স্বরূপ। এগুলি বিভিন্ন ধরণের হতে পারে যেমন : ব্যক্তিগত স্বার্থ বা পূর্বপুরুষদের মিথ্যা সংস্কার এবং বহুবিধ বস্তু যা আল্লাহ্র আইন বা হুকুমের বিরোধিতা করে থাকে।
শিক্ষণীয় বিষয় : যান্ত্রিকভাবে নামাজ পড়া ও রোজা করার মাধ্যমে কাউকে ধার্মিকরূপে পরিগণিত করা যায় না। প্রত্যেককে বিচার করতে হবে তার কাজের দ্বারা। যে শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির জন্য সৎকাজ করে সেই ধার্মিক।
