আমি কারুন, ফেরাউন ও হামানকে ধ্বংস করেছি। মূসা তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনাবলী নিয়ে আগমন করেছিল অতঃপর তারা দেশে দম্ভ করেছিল। কিন্তু তারা জিতে যায়নি।
And (We destroyed also) Qârûn (Korah), Fir’aun (Pharaoh), and Hâmân. And indeed Mûsa (Moses) came to them with clear Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our punishment).
وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَلَقَدْ جَاءهُم مُّوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ
Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamana walaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroo fee al-ardi wama kanoo sabiqeena
YUSUFALI: (Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us).
PICKTHAL: And Korah, Pharaoh and Haman! Moses came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but they were boastful in the land. And they were not winners (in the race).
SHAKIR: And (We destroyed) Qaroun and Firon and Haman; and certainly Musa came to them with clear arguments, but they behaved haughtily in the land; yet they could not outstrip (Us).
KHALIFA: Also Qaaroon, Pharaoh, and Hamaan; Moses went to them with clear signs. But they continued to commit tyranny on earth. Consequently, they could not evade (the retribution).
৩৯। [ আরও স্মরণ কর ] কারূণ , ফেরাউন ও হামানকে ৩৪৬১। মুসা তাদের নিকট স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ উপস্থিত হলো , তথাপি পৃথিবীতে তারা ঔদ্ধত্য করে বেড়াতে লাগলো। কিন্তু তারা [ আমাকে ] অতিক্রম করতে পারলো না।
৩৪৬১। কারূণের বিবরণের জন্য দেখুন সূরা [ ২৮ : ৭৬- ৮২ ]। ফেরাউনের কথা কোরাণ শরীফের বহুস্থানে উল্লেখ আছে ; কিন্তু হামানের সাথে উল্লেখ আছে [ ২৮ : ৬ ] আয়াতে এবং এই আয়াতে। তাদের উদ্ধত অহংকারের সাথে খোদাদ্রোহীতার উল্লেখ আছে [২৮ : ৩৮ ] আয়াতে।
