অতঃপর মূসা তাঁর লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করল, হঠাৎ তা তাদের অলীক কীর্তিগুলোকে গ্রাস করতে লাগল।
Then Moses threw his rod, when, behold, it straightway swallows up all the falsehoods which they fake!
فَأَلْقَى مُوسَى عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Faalqa moosa AAasahu fa-itha hiya talqafu ma ya/fikoona
YUSUFALI: Then Moses threw his rod, when, behold, it straightway swallows up all the falsehoods which they fake!
PICKTHAL: Then Moses threw his staff and lo! it swallowed that which they did falsely show.
SHAKIR: Then Musa cast down his staff and lo! it swallowed up the lies they told.
KHALIFA: Moses threw his staff, whereupon it swallowed what they fabricated.
৪৫। অতঃপর মুসা তাঁর লাঠি নিক্ষেপ করলো, তৎক্ষণাৎ উহা উহাদের অলীক সৃষ্টিগুলি গ্রাস করতে লাগলো। ৩১৬৪
৩১৬৪। যাদুকরদের রজ্জু ও লাঠি সাপ বলে ভ্রম হতে থাকলো। কিন্তু হযরত মুসার লাঠি পরিণত হলো বিরাট অজগর সাপে যা যাদুকরদের সকল ক্ষুদ্র সাপগুলিকে গিলে ফেললো। এই উদাহরণের সাহায্যে এই কথাই বুঝতে চাওয়া হয়েছে যে, সত্যের আলো মিথ্যা ও প্রতারণার কৌশল থেকে বহুগুণ শক্তিশালী। মিথ্যা শেষ পর্যন্ত প্রকাশিত হবেই এবং সত্যের আলোতে মিথ্যার অন্ধকার বিদূরিত হবেই।
