তারা পার্থিব জীবনের বাহ্যিক দিক জানে এবং তারা পরকালের খবর রাখে না।
They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, like irrigating or sowing or reaping, etc.), and they are heedless of the Hereafter.
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُونَ
YaAAlamoona thahiran mina alhayati alddunya wahum AAani al-akhirati hum ghafiloona
YUSUFALI: They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world: but of the End of things they are heedless.
PICKTHAL: They know only some appearance of the life of the world, and are heedless of the Hereafter.
SHAKIR: They know the outward of this world’s life, but of the hereafter they are absolutely heedless.
KHALIFA: They care only about things of this world that are visible to them, while being totally oblivious to the Hereafter.
০৭। তারা তো শুধু পার্থিব জীবনের বাহ্যিক বিষয় সম্বন্ধে জানে ৩৫১১। কিন্তু [ জীবনের ] শেষ বিষয় সম্বন্ধে তারা অমনোযোগী ৩৫১২।
৩৫১১। বাইরের পৃথিবীর চাকচিক্য সাধারণ মানবকে অভিভূত করে ফেলে, – ফলে সে জীবনের প্রকৃত সত্যকে অনুধাবনে অক্ষম হয়। অন্তর্দৃষ্টি সম্পন্ন মানব বুঝতে পারে যে, আপাতঃ নিপতিত বিপদ, দুর্যোগ ও দুঃসময় , সূদূর ভবিষ্যতকে স্বর্ণমন্ডিত করে তোলে। কারণ বিপদ বিপর্যয়ের অতিক্রমের মাধ্যমেই চরিত্রের গুণাবলী যথা ধৈর্য্য, অধ্যবসায়, সহনশীলতা, কর্মক্ষমতা, আল্লাহ্র উপরে নির্ভরশীলতা প্রভৃতি গুণের বিকাশ লাভ করে থাকে; যা পরবর্তী জীবনে সাফল্যের স্বর্ণদুয়ার উন্মুক্ত করে দেয়।
৩৫১২। “A Khirat” – কোন কিছুর শেষ অথবা ঐতিহাসিক কোনও ঘটনার শেষ , এখানে ধর্মীয় দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে এর অর্থ হচ্ছে পরলোক বা মানব জীবনের শেষ অধ্যায়।
