কেবল তারাই আমার আয়াতসমূহের প্রতি ঈমান আনে, যারা আয়াতসমূহ দ্বারা উপদেশপ্রাপ্ত হয়ে সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে এবং অহংকারমুক্ত হয়ে তাদের পালনকর্তার সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করে।
Only those believe in Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), who, when they are reminded of them fall down prostrate, and glorify the Praises of their Lord, and they are not proud.
إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهَا خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَسَبَّحُوا بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Innama yu/minu bi-ayatina allatheena itha thukkiroo biha kharroo sujjadan wasabbahoo bihamdi rabbihim wahum la yastakbiroona
YUSUFALI: Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.
PICKTHAL: Only those believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and hymn the praise of their Lord, and they are not scornful,
SHAKIR: Only they believe in Our communications who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and celebrate the praise of their Lord, and they are not proud.
KHALIFA: The only people who truly believe in our revelations are those who fall prostrate upon hearing them. They glorify and praise their Lord, without any arrogance.
১৫। কেবলমাত্র তারাই আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে, যারা ইহার দ্বারা উপদেশ প্রাপ্ত হলে, ভক্তিভরে সেজ্দায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে ৩৬৪৭, এবং তাদের প্রভুর মহিমা প্রশংসার সাথে বর্ণনা করে এবং তারা [কখনও] অহংকারে স্ফীত হয় না।
৩৬৪৭। “Sujjadan” – সিজ্দা – সিজদা হচ্ছে দেহকে এক নির্দ্দিষ্ট ভঙ্গীতে বিন্যস্ত করা যার দ্বারা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা , ভালোবাসা ও বিনয় প্রকাশ করা হয়। সূরাটির নাম সিজ্দা হয়েছে এই আয়াতটির অনুসরণে। পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ্র নিদর্শন সমূহ চতুর্দ্দিকে ছড়ানো আছে, সৃষ্টির জন্য তাঁর সযত্ন তত্বাবধান আমাদের পৃথিবীর জীবনকে করেছে ঐশ্বর্যমন্ডিত সুখ ও শান্তিতে পরিপূর্ণ। জীবনের প্রতি মুহূর্ত, প্রতিপল স্রষ্টার স্নেহময় অনুভবকে যে উপলব্ধি করতে পারে সেই তো কৃতজ্ঞ অন্তরে তাঁর প্রতি সেজদাতে লুণ্ঠিত হতে পারে। এই আয়াতটি পড়ার সময়ে সেজ্দা দান করা নিয়ম।
