একশ্রেণীর লোক আছে যারা মানুষকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে গোমরাহ করার উদ্দেশে অবান্তর কথাবার্তা সংগ্রহ করে অন্ধভাবে এবং উহাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করে। এদের জন্য রয়েছে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি।
And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allâh without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allâh, the Verses of the Qur’ân) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
Wamina alnnasi man yashtaree lahwa alhadeethi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattakhithaha huzuwan ola-ika lahum AAathabun muheenun
YUSUFALI: But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.
PICKTHAL: And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah’s way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom.
SHAKIR: And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah’s path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement.
KHALIFA: Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
০৬। কিন্তু মানুষের মধ্যে অনেকে না জেনে মিথ্যা কাহিনী ক্রয় করে থাকে ৩৫৮৪, মানুষকে আল্লাহ্র পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করার জন্য ও [ সে পথ নিয়ে ] হাসি ঠাট্টা করার জন্য। এদের জন্য রয়েছে অপমানকর শাস্তি।
৩৫৮৪। এই আয়াতটি অবতীর্ণ হওয়ার প্রেক্ষাপট হচ্ছে : মক্কার মোশরেক ব্যবসায়ী নাদের-ইবনে-হারেস একবার পারস্য দেশ থেকে তাদের ঐতিহাসিক কাহিনী সমূহ ক্রয় করে আনে এবং মক্কার মোশরেকদের কোরাণে বর্ণিত আদ, সামুদ জাতির কথা না শুনে পারস্যের কাহিনী শোনার জন্য উদ্বুদ্ধ করতে থাকে। তাদেরকেই এই আয়াতে ভর্ৎসনা করা হয়েছে। যারা প্রকৃতপক্ষে জ্ঞানী তারাই একমাত্র পৃথিবীতে জীবন সৃষ্টির প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যকে অনুধাবনে সক্ষম, এবং তারা জীবনের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপকে গুরুত্বের সাথে অনুধাবন করেন। অপরপক্ষে ,যারা নির্বোধ তারাই প্রকৃত সত্য অপেক্ষা মূর্খতাপূর্ণ কল্প কাহিনী শুনতে ভালোবাসে এবং আল্লাহ্ প্রদর্শিত পথ নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রূপ করে।
