তোমরা যখন এ কথা শুনলে তখন কেন বললে না যে, এ বিষয়ে কথা বলা আমাদের উচিত নয়। আল্লাহ তো পবিত্র, মহান। এটা তো এক গুরুতর অপবাদ।
And why did you not, when you heard it, say? ”It is not right for us to speak of this. Glory be to You (O Allâh) this is a great lie.”
وَلَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا سُبْحَانَكَ هَذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ
Walawla ith samiAAtumoohu qultum ma yakoonu lana an natakallama bihatha subhanaka hatha buhtanun AAatheemun
YUSUFALI: And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? – “It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!”
PICKTHAL: Wherefor, when ye heard it, said ye not: It is not for us to speak of this. Glory be to Thee (O Allah)! This is awful calumny.
SHAKIR: And why did you not, when you heard it, say: It does not beseem us that we should talk of it; glory be to Thee! this is a great calumny?
KHALIFA: When you heard it, you should have said, “We will not repeat this. Glory be to You. This is a gross falsehood.”
১৬। যখন তোমরা ইহা শুনলে, তখন কেন বললে না যে, ” এ কথা বলা আমাদের পক্ষে উচিত নয়। আল্লাহ্ মহিমাময় , এটা একটা জঘন্য অপবাদ ? ” ২৯৬৯
২৯৬৯। এই আয়াতগুলি হযরত আয়েশার [ রা ] ঘটনার প্রেক্ষিতে অবতীর্ণ, কিন্তু এর শিক্ষা সকল যুগের নির্যাতিত নারীদের জন্য প্রযোজ্য। কোনও মোমেন বান্দা যখন কোনও নারীর কুৎসা শ্রবণ করবে তার দায়িত্ব এখানে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। সঠিক পথ হচ্ছে এই অপবাদ রটনাকে বন্ধ করা। এটা দুভাবে করা চলে – তাদের প্রতি অবজ্ঞার প্রকাশের মাধ্যমে বা তাদের প্রচারে সাহায্য না করে।
উপদেশ : প্রকৃত মুসলিম নারীর সম্মান রক্ষার জন্য সর্বদা সচেষ্ট হতে হবে মোমেন বান্দাদের।
