বলুন, যারা পথভ্রষ্টতায় আছে, দয়াময় আল্লাহ তাদেরকে যথেষ্ট অবকাশ দেবেন; এমনকি অবশেষে তারা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে যে বিষয়ে তাদেরকে ওয়াদা দেয়া হচ্ছে, তা আযাব হোক অথবা কেয়ামতই হোক। সুতরাং তখন তারা জানতে পারবে কে মর্তবায় নিকৃষ্ট ও দলবলে দূর্বল।
Say (O Muhammad SAW) whoever is in error, the Most Beneficent (Allâh) will extend (the rope) to him, until, when they see that which they were promised, either the torment or the Hour, they will come to know who is worst in position, and who is weaker in forces. [This is the answer for the Verse No.19:73]
قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلَالَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ مَدًّا حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا
Qul man kana fee alddalalati falyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hatta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona imma alAAathaba wa-imma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwa sharrun makanan waadAAafu jundan
YUSUFALI: Say: “If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) – either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces!
PICKTHAL: Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army.
SHAKIR: Say: As for him who remains in error, the Beneficent Allah will surely prolong his length of days, until they see what they were threatened with, either the punishment or the hour; then they shall know who is in more evil plight and weaker in forces
KHALIFA: Say, “Those who choose to go astray, the Most Gracious will lead them on, until they see what is promised for them – either the retribution or the Hour. That is when they find out who really is worse off, and weaker in power.”
৭৪। ওদের পূর্বে আমি কত [ অসংখ্য ] মানব গোষ্ঠিকে বিনাশ করেছি, যারা অস্ত্র – শস্ত্র ও চাকচিক্যে বাহ্যদৃষ্টিতে শ্রেষ্ঠতর ছিলো।
৭৫। বল ! যদি কেউ ভ্রান্ত পথে যায়, পরম করুণাময় [আল্লাহ্ ] তাদের [ ভ্রান্ত পথের রজ্জু ] বৃদ্ধি করে দেন , যতক্ষণ না তারা আল্লাহ্র দেয়া সতর্কবাণী প্রত্যক্ষ করবে – তা শাস্তি হিসেবেই হোক ২৫২০; অথবা কেয়ামতের [ আগমন ] হিসেবেই হোক। শেষ পর্যন্ত তারা বুঝতে পারবে , কে মর্যদায় নিকৃষ্ট এবং [ কে ] শক্তিতে সর্বাপেক্ষা দুর্বল।
২৫২০। আল্লাহ্ সর্তক করে দেন যে, প্রত্যেক মন্দ কাজের পরিণাম শাস্তি। এবং মৃত্যুই জীবনের শেষ নয়। মৃত্যুর সিংহদুয়ার পেরিয়ে , পরলোকে ইহকালের সকল কার্যের জবাবদিহিতার সম্মুখীন হতে হবে। একেই বলা হয়েছে শেষ বিচারের দিন। মন্দ কাজ বা পাপের পরিণতি সব সময়ে যে পরকালেই ভোগ করতে হবে তা নয়, অনেক সময়ে দেখা যায় ইহকালেই শাস্তি বা পরিণতি শুরু হয়ে যায়। যেমন, অতিরিক্ত অসংযম ও বাড়াবাড়ির প্রতিফল এই জীবনেই অনেক সময়ে শুরু হয়ে যায়। কিন্তু অনেক সময়ে মানুষের স্বার্থপরতা ও পাপ এত সুক্ষ ও ভালো মানুষের আবরণে ঢাকা থাকে যে, তা সাধারণ মানুষের ধরা ছোঁয়ার বাইরে থাকে। কিন্তু মানুষের বিচারে এরা রেহাই পেলেও আল্লাহ্র ন্যায় বিচার অবশ্যাম্ভবী। যে কোন ক্ষেত্রেই হোক না কেন , অহংকারী , গর্বিত পাপীরা জানতে পারবে “কে মর্যাদায় নিকৃষ্ট ও কে শক্তিতে দুর্বল ” অর্থাৎ সম্মান ও ক্ষমতায় কে নিকৃষ্ট ও কে দুর্বল যে ব্যাপারেও তারা সর্বদা বিদ্রূপ করতো ; যার উল্লেখ আছে আয়াত [ ১৯ : ৭৩]
